- Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in the Health and Human Services Agency and the Sheriff's Office; and
- Approve an accelerated merit step increase for an Accountant III in the Department of Financial Services from Step 2 to Step 3 for exceptional qualifications, effective September 10, 2023.

Human Resources recommends the Board approve the request from the Board of Supervisors to grant an accelerated merit step increase to step 3 for Maria Meza upon her promotion to step 2 in the class of Accountant III for exceptional qualifications, effective September 10, 2023. Ms. Meza has accepted a promotion from Accountant II to Accountant III. The Board of Supervisors may adjust the salary of an incumbent to any step within the salary range in order to correct inequities, reward outstanding achievement and performance, or for other reasons acceptable to the Board. Ms. Meza has over 10 years of accounting experience, which includes three years with Yolo Superior Court, one year with Yolo Resource Conservation District, and over one year with the Yolo County Sheriff's Office. Maria is exceptionally skilled in financial statement preparation, reporting, budgeting, and data analysis. This action will result in a 5% increase for the incumbent.
