Clerk-Recorder Assessor Program Manager - Reallocates one regular vacant full-time Senior Cadastral Drafting Technician to Clerk-Recorder Assessor Program Manager to offer an internal promotion opportunity to employees in the Assessor branch.

Senior Administrative Services Analyst - Reallocates one regular vacant full-time Administrative Services Analyst to Senior Administrative Services Analyst to accommodate our current operational needs but also to provide a clear pathway for career advancement and leadership development for current staff.

Ag and Standards Inspector IV - Adds one new regular full-time position to perform canine handler functions, specifically inspections related to plant products entering the State of California via parcel delivery facilities like USPS.
Public Defender
Community Health Assistant II - Adds one new limited-term full-time Deputy Public Defender I for the RJA grant. This position will expire January 23, 2026.
Additionally, staff recommends approving the attached side letter (Att. B) granting the $300 annual boot allowance to the Animal Services Officer I/II classifications as provided to other similar classifications.
