Where reimbursement is otherwise authorized by statute, members of a legislative body may be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of official duties, provided that (1) the local agency has adopted a written reimbursement policy specifying the types of expenses that may be incurred, (2) expense reports and receipts are submitted, and (3) the members give a brief report on meetings attended at public expense at the next regular meeting of the local agency.
