Public Defender's Office - Adds two (2) new limited-term full-time Behavioral Health Case Managers III positions to implement the CONNECT Program, a grant-funded initiative within the Public Defender’s Office that provides early behavioral health identification, intensive case management, and service coordination for justice-involved individuals eligible for mental health diversion under Penal Code §1001.36. These positions are necessary to support diversion referrals, treatment engagement, and sustained recovery outcomes. These positions are limited-term and fully grant funded.
