Received reports from members of the Commission, with Commissioner Lansburgh announcing a groundbreaking in Woodland on April 28, 2022 at Ashley and Main Streets of the Vista del Robles Affordable Housing Complex and Commissioner Neu inquiring if there was a list for funding opportunities for affordable housing to which Interim Executive Director Sigrist responded this information can be found on the State's website. |

Updates from YCH Interim Executive Director
YCH Commission - Interim ED Updates April 27, 2022 New HR Specialist Introduced their new HR Specialist, Marcia Sayles. Migrant Center – Season Openings The Migrant Centers are all open and 100% occupied! We submitted a request to the Office of Migrant Services to fund an additional Housing Specialist to support the program (there is one currently) and we have received initial indication that the request will be approved, providing much-needed assistance to the families. Yolano Donnelly Repositioning On April 12th, the Yolo County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to allocate $1m of the County’s American Recovery Plan funds to support the Yolano Donnelly redevelopment project! This demonstration of support for the project is critical in the review of the project by the Federal Office of Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity (FHEO), who must approve YCH’s plan ahead of any new construction. Executive Director Recruitment The position is currently posted and closes May 11th, with interviews to be held May 17th, 18th, and 19th. The interview panel is Commission Chair, Gary Sandy, and Vice Chair, Rich Lansburgh. May meeting At the May meeting, in addition to bringing forward next year’s budget for review and approval, I will bring forward a request to sell the Davis vacant lot on L Street with an affordable housing covenant filed at sale of the property. Big Day of Giving This annual opportunity to support nonprofits is a central source of resources for Yolo’s Public Housing Computer Learning Centers. We request your assistance in helping meet our goal of raising $3,000 and introducing new supporters to both New Hope Community Development Corporation and the Housing Authority. How Can You Help?
