Authorize the Chief of Probation to accept the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funding in the amount of $173,845 and to sign the attached agreement from the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) for the period October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026 on behalf of the law and justice departments (District Attorney, Probation, Public Defender and Sheriff) and adopt budget resolution amending the District Attorney, Probation, Public Defender and Sheriff's budgets for the 2025-26 Adopted Budget as outlined in the attached budget resolution in the amount of $173,845. Motion made by Supervisor Barajas and seconded by Supervisor Frerichs to approve staff’s recommendations: A) Direct staff to undertake exploratory steps for potential future uses and initial feasibility analysis of three County-owned properties as outlined in the staff report; and B) consider allocation of funding for/and direct staff to perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment on property/properties as needed to assist in site feasibility exploration. Before a vote was taken, Supervisor Barajas amended his motion, with the seconder in agreement with the amendment, resulting in the minute order below.
