The Yolo Animal Services Planning Agency met on the 16th day of April, 2025, in the County's Board of Supervisors Chambers, 625 Court Street, Room 206, Woodland, CA 95695. Here is a link to the video*.

Public Comments received via email by the Clerk of the Board were forwarded to the Board Members prior to the meeting.

6.
Receive a presentation from Director of Yolo County's Department of Community Services, Leslie Lindbo, regarding the role and purpose of the Animal Services JPA and next steps.
 

Received presentation from Director of Animal Services, Stephanie Amato, as Leslie Lindbo was unable to attend. 

The Board members agreed to return to their respective governing bodies to discuss the potential of transitioning to an operational JPA model. The Board members expressed interest in first understanding the direction the Yolo County Board of Supervisors intends to take. Vice Chair Barajas stated that he would return to the Yolo County Board of Supervisors to direct County staff to collect data and provide analysis of models of shared services, as well as work with city managers to obtain input, to eventually present to the County Board of Supervisors and city councils.

Receive a presentation from Lisa Gaynes, Unleashing the Possibilities, regarding Examples of JPA Models and Organizational Structures.
