The Community Corrections Partnership met on the 20th day of March, 2025, at the Yolo County Office of Education, 1280 Santa Anita Court, Winters Conference Room 43, Woodland, CA 95776.

Discuss the updated budget process and projected 2025-26 fund balances (Liddicoet)
 


Chief Budget Official Laura Liddicoet provided the updated budget process and projected 2025-26 fund balances. To fund ongoing existing programs for 2024-25, there is a need to dip into fund balances in the amount of $181,471. There are seven new request proposals for 2025-26 in the amount of $3.1 million. Her recommendation is to defer any decisions on any additional requests to the adopted budget process in September due to the fiscal challenges we are currently facing.

Regarding Prop 36 funding requests, Member Villegas suggested this body pause any requests for Prop 36 funding and work together collaboratively as a County utilizing the specialty courts currently in place without dipping into reserves. Garrett Hamilton, Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney, noted DA Jeff Reisig wants to pivot to deal with these Prop 36 cases in a different direction.
