Public Comment: Opportunity for members of the public to address the Yolo Animal Services Planning Agency on subjects relating to YASPA business and not otherwise on the agenda. Speakers will be limited to 2 minutes (subject to change).

Rachel Kane submitted a written public comment, which was placed into the record.
Jill Bonner, Caren Hill, and Lea Rosenberg provided in-person public comments and Eileen Samitze and Evelyn Dale provided virtual public comments.

Receive Animal Shelter update.

Received update from Stephanie Amato, Director of Yolo County Animal Services, regarding the animal shelter's current population (100 dogs, 45 cats, 80 kittens in foster, and 7 rabbits), partnerships with Petsmart and SNIP, and the Clinic in a Can.

Upcoming events:
October 25th at Davis Petsmart
November 12-14th with SNIP at Yolo County Animal Shelter Parking Lot

Receive update from Yolo County staff on Animal Services JPA governance models analysis.
 

Received presentation from Alexander Tengolics, Yolo County Director of Strategic Operations, and Yen Nguyen, Associate Management Analyst, regarding the legal mandates for animal services, Request for Information (RFI), and next steps in the animal services analysis. 

Lisa Gaynes addressed the Board during public comment.
