Subject:
Purchase of Sunset Library HVAC Installation Services
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council approve the purchase of HVAC installation services at the Sunset Library, from TDIndustries, Inc., utilizing the Omnia Partners Contract No. R200403, in an amount not to exceed $91,659, and authorize the City Manager to sign a linking agreement with TDIndustries, Inc.
Background/Discussion:
The children's area at the Sunset Library, also referred to as the Monsoon Room, does not have adequate air volume or circulation. When the doors are closed to the area, the humidity in the room rises and becomes uncomfortable. This request will allow TDIndustries, Inc., to provide an engineered HVAC solution and installation to resolve the air volume and circulation issues.
Evaluation:
Region 4 ESC - TX, on behalf of Omnia Partners, competitively solicited and awarded a contract for HVAC equipment, installation, services and related products. The City has a current agreement with Omnia Partners allowing for the use of its contracts. The current term of the Omnia Partners contract is valid through September 30, 2023.
