Proposed Motion: |
Move City Council award Agreement No. PW3-936-4544 with Valleywide Generator Service, LLC, for generator maintenance services, in an amount not to exceed $270,000, for a one-year term, December 12, 2022, through December 11, 2023, with the option of up to four additional one-year extensions. |
Background/Discussion: |
This agreement provides periodic maintenance, inspection, and load bank testing for 59 standby generators. The generators provide power to various key locations to ensure continuous operation when electrical power is interrupted, including the Chandler Municipal Airport and many water and wastewater facilities. As part of this agreement, the contractor will ensure the generators are performing at a rated kilowatt capacity. The additional funding also covers any unforeseen repairs that may be necessary during the term of this agreement. |
Evaluation: |
On September 9, 2022, City staff issued Request for Proposal No. PW3-936-4544 for generator maintenance services. A notification was sent to all registered vendors. Five proposals were received from the following offerors:
- Central Power Systems & Services, LLC
- Cummins Sales & Service, Inc.
- Interstate Energy Systems, Inc.
- Serck Services, Inc.
- Valleywide Generator Service, LLC
The Evaluation Committee evaluated the proposals and recommends award to Valleywide Generator Service, LLC, which submitted the most advantageous offer to the City in accordance with the evaluation criteria. The agreement term is December 12, 2022, through December 11, 2023, with up to four additional one-year extensions. |
