Project Agreement No. CS2203.401 with Caliente Construction Inc, Pursuant to Job Order Contract No. JOC1904.401, for Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center – Ultraviolet System Replacement.
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council award Project Agreement No. CS2203.401 to Caliente Construction, Inc., Pursuant to Job Order Contract No. JOC1904.401, for Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center – Ultraviolet System Replacement, in an amount not to exceed $158,401.71.
Background/Discussion:
The Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center, located at 5901 South Hillcrest Drive and originally built in 2009, is showing signs of aging and is in need of annual repairs and maintenance. The UV two sanitation systems at this site are no longer functional and need to be replaced.
The project scope of work consists of the demolition and removal of the current UV system, installation of the new UV system, and providing owner training on the new system. The contract completion time is 60 calendar days following Notice to Proceed.
Evaluation:
The selection process was conducted in accordance with City policy and procedure and State law. The costs proposed for this project have been evaluated by staff and determined to be reasonable.
