Agreement No. 4409, with NST Technologies, Inc., for Information Technology Consulting Services
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council approve Agreement No. 4409, with NST Technologies, Inc., for Information Technology consulting services, in an amount not to exceed $300,000, for a period of one year beginning October 15, 2021, through October 14, 2022, with the option of up to four one-year extensions.
Background/Discussion:
The Information Technology (IT) Department has historically hired temporary employees to assist in special projects or backfill vacant positions. These temporary employees have specialized skills in specific technical areas which complement IT staff and work on a temporary basis on specific assignments.
This contract will assist the City with oversight of its Enterprise Resource Planning system, Enterprise Databases (Oracle and SQL) and the Enterprise Reporting Platform, as well as serve as a resource on the following projects: Data Warehouse, Oracle Command Center, Oracle Audit Remediation, Oracle and SQL Infrastructure Data Base upgrades, and Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) Security Improvements for Tax & License CLASS application. These systems are critical to the City's Human Resources and Management Services functions.
Specific responsibilities of the vendor under this contract include:
• Transfer of Knowledge to incoming Data Services Manager
• Backfill for Oracle EBS Database Administrator
• Provide mentorship and back up for Sr. Oracle DBA and SQL DBA
• Enterprise System / Data Architect
• Technical Lead for Applications Teams
• Data Warehouse / Architect
Evaluation:
NST Technologies, Inc. is uniquely qualified to perform the services required by the City as described in the Scope of Services of the Agreement. Staff recommends the direct selection of NST Technologies, Inc.
