Sole Source Purchase of Pool Filters

Proposed Motion:

Move City Council approve the sole source purchase of pool filters, from Aquatic Environmental Systems, Inc., an Aquafinity Company, in an amount not to exceed $221,681.55.

Background/Discussion:

The Community Services Department utilizes high-rate media filtration systems manufactured by EPD USA, Inc., at the city's six aquatic facilities. Aquatic Environmental Systems, Inc., is the sole provider of these pool filters. Staff recommends the purchase of EPD filters as a sole source.
