Proposed Motion:

Move City Council approve the purchase of access controls and security equipment, from APL Access & Security, Inc., utilizing the State of Arizona Contract No. CTR056377, in an amount not to exceed $825,000.

Background/Discussion:

This contract will provide continued service by APL Access & Security, Inc., for the installation, repair, and maintenance of access controls and security equipment throughout the city. These services include, but are not limited to, software and hardware upgrades, security camera projects, door control projects, and alarm monitoring.

Evaluation:

The State of Arizona competitively solicited and awarded a contract for access controls and security equipment. The city has an agreement with the State of Arizona allowing for the cooperative use of its contracts. Staff recommends the cooperative use of this contract. The term of the State of Arizona contract is valid through July 27, 2025.
