Construction Agreement with Lincoln Constructors Inc., for the Arrowhead Meadows Water Main Replacement
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council award Construction Agreement No. WA2203.402, to Lincoln Constructors Inc. for the Arrowhead Meadows Water Main Replacement, in an amount not to exceed $4,198,165.50.
Background/Discussion:
The Public Works and Utilities Department's Water Distribution Division currently maintains over 36,000 valves and 1,242 miles of pipe in the potable water system. This project is a continuation of a Capital Improvement Program to replace water mains that are susceptible to main breaks due to age and condition. The program evaluates water infrastructure, identifying high-priority water mains in need of replacement. Replacement of city water mains will result in improved system reliability and reduced liability from water damage as a result of main breaks. This project includes the replacement of approximately 7,550 linear feet of existing water mains with new piping and appurtenances ranging in size from 4-inch to 8-inch in a high-priority ranked area in the central part of the city, Arrowhead Meadows. On May 25, 2023, City Council approved Resolution No. 5683, authorizing the acquisition of real property rights required to complete this project. The agreement completion time is 210 calendar days following Notice to Proceed.
A related Professional Services Agreement for post-design services with GHD, Inc., for the Arrowhead Meadows Water Main Replacement, is also scheduled for this City Council meeting.
A related Professional Services Agreement for construction management services with Dibble CM, LLC, for the Arrowhead Meadows Water Main Replacement, is also scheduled for this City Council meeting.
