Professional Services Agreement No. WW2106.201, with Brown and Caldwell, Inc., for the Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation Design Services
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council award Professional Services Agreement No. WW2106.201, to Brown and Caldwell, Inc., for the Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation Design Services, in an amount not to exceed $483,188.
Background/Discussion:
The 2018 Wastewater Master Plan identified an ongoing initiative to evaluate, prioritize, and rehabilitate wastewater collection system facilities. The City’s collection system consists of sewer lift stations, large diversion/junction structures, and over 880 miles of sanitary sewer pipelines that collect and convey wastewater to three water reclamation facilities. A recent assessment identified specific repairs and rehabilitation action for several existing sewer lift stations and a large diversion/junction structure. The repair and rehabilitation work will include replacement of deteriorated access hatch covers, piping, rehabilitation of concrete coating systems, valve replacements, installation of fall protection grating, and minor electrical improvements.
The project scope of work consists of project management, design development, and permitting assistance. The contract completion time is 270 calendar days following Notice to Proceed.
Evaluation:
The selection process was conducted in accordance with City policy and procedure and State law. This project is being performed under the On-Call Consultant Pre-Qualified List for Water and Wastewater Services. Staff recommends approval of this agreement with Brown and Caldwell, Inc., based on qualifications, relevant firm experience, team experience, project understanding, and project approach.
