Proposed Motion: |
Move City Council award Agreement No. BF2-910-4417 to Allied Universal Janitorial Services, for janitorial services, in an amount not to exceed $454,900, for a period of one year, beginning June 15, 2022, through June 14, 2023. |
Background/Discussion: |
The Public Works & Utilities Department and the Buildings and Facilities Division contract janitorial services for various buildings within their respective areas. The work performed under the contract will include daily floor care, restroom cleaning, trash removal, dusting and miscellaneous cleaning duties as detailed in the contract specifications. Municipal buildings to be cleaned under this contract are: Municipal Utilities Administration, Water Distribution, Water Treatment Plant, Water Quality Laboratory, Water Systems Maintenance, Meter Services, Wastewater Collection, Ocotillo Brine Reduction Facility, Airport and Ocotillo Water Reclamation Facilities, and Solid Waste Services. Buildings and Facilities buildings to be cleaned are: Chandler City Hall, Chandler Boys and Girls Club, Community Center, Main Library, Senior Center, Tumbleweed Recreation Center, Airport Terminal, and Family Investment Center. |
Evaluation: |
On October 1, 2021, City staff issued RFP No. BF2-910-4417, for janitorial services. Notification was sent to all registered vendors. Fifteen responses were received from the following offerors: Above All Services, LLC Allied Universal Janitorial Services Beacon Group BIO Janitorial Service, Inc. Clean Sweep Property Services Commercial Custodial Services DetailXPerts Full Circle Commercial Cleaning JS Janitorial Cleaning Service Maintenance Resources, Inc. MEK Enterprises Inc. Northpointe Construction & Janitorial Cleaning Shannon S. Martin Trooper USA UBM Enterprise, Inc. Staff recommends award to Allied Universal Janitorial Services, which submitted the most advantageous offer to the City in accordance with the evaluation criteria. The term of this agreement will be June 15, 2022, through June 14, 2023, with the option of up to four one-year extensions. |
