Proposed Motion: |
Move City Council award Construction Contract No. ST1616.401 to Haydon Building Corp., for the Ocotillo Road Improvements - Gilbert Road to 148th Street, in an amount not to exceed $6,763,162. |
Background/Discussion: |
The project will complete improvements on Ocotillo Road for two through lanes in the eastbound and westbound directions from Gilbert Road to 148th Street, per the 2010 Transportation Master Plan and subsequent 2019 Transportation Master Plan Update. The project scope of work consists of adding bike lanes, sidewalk, curb and gutter, streetlights, traffic signals, storm drains, raised landscape, medians, wet and dry utilities, irrigation systems, and private walls. The contract completion time is 270 calendar days following Notice to Proceed, with work anticipated to commence in late summer or early fall 2022. A related Professional Services Agreement with Ardurra Group, Inc., for the Ocotillo Road Improvements - Gilbert Road to 148th Street Post Design Services, is also scheduled for this City Council meeting. A related Professional Services Agreement with Consultant Engineering, Inc., for the Ocotillo Road Improvements - Gilbert Road to 148th Street Construction Management Services, is also scheduled for this City Council meeting. |
