Subject:
Project Agreement No. PR2105.401 with ForeSite Design & Construction, Inc., Pursuant to Job Order Contract No. JOC1905.401, for the Sunset Park ADA Improvements
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council award Project Agreement No. PR2105.401 to ForeSite Design & Construction, Inc., Pursuant to Job Order Contract No. JOC1905.401, for the Sunset Park ADA Improvements, in an amount not to exceed $303,616.00.
Background/Discussion:
Sunset Park is a 5.06-acre neighborhood park that was originally constructed in 1999. Sunset Park is located on the north side of Ray Road just east of Rural Road and is adjacent to the Sunset Library. Existing amenities found at this park include a ramada, sand volleyball court, playground, lighted pathways, landscaping, and open space turf. The lighted perimeter pathway currently does not provide a pedestrian connection to and from the library. This project will remove the existing path adjacent to the Sunset Library and replace it with a new Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible concrete sidewalk, providing connectivity between the park and the library.
The project scope of work consists of clearing and grubbing, grading and drainage, earthwork, subgrade preparation, concrete sidewalks, ramps, steps, and cast in place retaining walls. The contract completion time is 160 calendar days following Notice to Proceed.
A related Professional Services Agreement for Construction Management Services with Dibble CM, LLC, for the Sunset Park ADA Improvements, is also scheduled for this City Council meeting.
Evaluation:
The selection process was conducted in accordance with City policy and procedure and State law. The costs proposed for this project have been evaluated by staff and determined to be reasonable.
