Services
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council award Professional Services Agreement No. PR2105.451 to Dibble CM, LLC, for the Sunset Park ADA Improvements
Construction Management
Services, in an amount not to exceed $34,100.
Background/Discussion:
Sunset Park is a 5.06-acre neighborhood park that was originally constructed in 1999. Sunset Park is located on the north side of Ray Road just east of Rural Road and is adjacent to the Sunset Library. Existing amenities found at this park include a ramada, sand volleyball court, playground, lighted pathways, landscaping, and open space turf. The lighted perimeter pathway currently does not provide a pedestrian connection to and from the library. This project will remove the existing path adjacent to the Sunset Library and replace it with a new Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible concrete sidewalk, providing connectivity between the park and the library.
The project scope of work consists of pre-construction assistance, utility coordination, construction management, contract oversight, construction administration, construction inspection, materials testing quality assurance, and construction contract close-out.
The contract completion time is 190 calendar days following Notice to Proceed.
A related Construction Contract with ForeSite Design & Construction, Inc., for the Sunset Park ADA Improvements, is also scheduled for this City Council meeting.
Evaluation:
The selection process was conducted in accordance with City policy and procedure and State law. This project is being performed under the On-Call Consultant Pre-Qualified List for Construction Management Services. Staff recommends approval of this agreement with Dibble CM, LLC, based on qualifications, relevant firm experience, team experience, project understanding, and project approach.
