Subject:
Purchase of Carpet Installation Services for Main Police Station Carpet Replacement Project
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council approve the purchase of carpet installation services, from Continental Flooring Company, utilizing the State of Arizona Contract No. CTR043427, in an amount not to exceed $143,000, for the Main Police Station carpet replacement.
Background/Discussion:
The City of Chandler Main Police Station, located at 250 East Chicago Street, needs carpet replacement on the first and second floor, as it is past its useful life at about 15 years old. This request will allow Continental Flooring to furnish and install 33,965 square feet of new flooring to include 26,280 square feet of carpet and 7,685 square feet of luxury vinyl tile (LVT) in the hallways.
Evaluation:
The State of Arizona competitively solicited and awarded a contract to Continental Flooring Company for carpet installation services. The City has an agreement with the State of Arizona that permits the cooperative use of its contracts. The term of the State of Arizona contract is valid through March 31, 2024.
