Proposed Motion: |
Move City Council approve Agreement No. CS2-595-4335, with Pioneer Landscape Centers, Inc., for rock, granite, and miscellaneous supplies, in an amount not to exceed $540,000, for a one-year period, September 1, 2021, through August 31, 2022, with the option of up to four (4) additional one-year extensions. |
Background/Discussion: |
The Community Services and Public Works and Utilities departments require ornamental rock, granite, topsoil, river rock, rip rap, in-field mix, and engineered wood fiber for a wide variety of applications. These materials are used throughout the City's park system to refresh rock areas, top dress fields, level ballfields, and fill in playground areas with engineered wood fiber. The Public Works and Utilities Department uses rock for basins, erosion repair, and regrading. |
Evaluation: |
On June 11, 2021, City staff issued an Invitation for Bid for rock, granite, and miscellaneous supplies. Notification was sent to all registered vendors. One response was received from Pioneer Landscape Centers, Inc. Staff recommends award to Pioneer Landscape Centers, Inc., as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The term of this agreement is September 1, 2021, through August 31, 2022, with the option of up to four (4) additional one-year extensions. |
