Move City Council approve Agreement No. PW2-936-4357, with Capital Pump and Equipment, LLC; Foster Electric Motor Service, Inc.; Hennesy Mechanical Sales, LLC; James, Cooke & Hobson, Inc.; Keller Electrical Industries, LLC; KP Ventures Well Drilling & Pump Co, LLC; Layne Christensen Company; Phoenix Pumps, Inc.; Pumpman Phoenix/Scott’s AZ Electric Motor Repair; Southwest Waterworks Contractors PM, LLC, dba Pumpman Waterworks; TW Associates, Inc.; and Weber Water Resources, LLC, for water and wastewater equipment maintenance and repair services, in a combined amount not to exceed $6,640,000, for a two-year period, September 1, 2021, through August 31, 2023, with the option of up to two additional two-year extensions. |
Background/Discussion: |
The Water and Wastewater divisions of the Public Works & Utilities Department require an ongoing contract for repair and maintenance of pumps and pumping equipment. The equipment serviced includes pump systems at various water and wastewater facilities throughout the City. In addition, this agreement includes replacement and maintenance of pumps, electric motors, and related equipment used in the Parks Development and Operations, Recreation, and Buildings and Facilities divisions. |
Evaluation: |
On June 4,2021, City staff issued a Request for Proposal for water and wastewater equipment maintenance and repair services. Notification was sent to all registered vendors. Twelve responses were received from the following offerors:

The Evaluation Committee evaluated the proposals and recommends award to Capital Pump and Equipment, LLC; Foster Electric Motor Service, Inc.; Hennesy Mechanical Sales, LLC; James, Cooke & Hobson, Inc.; Keller Electrical Industries, LLC; KP Ventures Well Drilling & Pump Co, LLC; Layne Christensen Company; Phoenix Pumps, Inc.; Pumpman Phoenix/Scott’s AZ Electric Motor Repair; Southwest Waterworks Contractors PM, LLC, dba Pumpman Waterworks; TW Associates, Inc.; and Weber Water Resources, LLC, which submitted the most advantageous offers to the City in accordance with the evaluation criteria. The term of this agreement is September 1, 2021, through August 31, 2023, with the option of up to two (2) additional two-year extensions. |
