Subject:
Purchase of John Deere Utility Tractor
Proposed Motion:
Move City Council approve the utilization of State of Arizona Contract No. ADSPO18-202498, for the purchase of a John Deere 5075E Utility Tractor, from Deere & Company, in the amount of $51,436.30.
Background/Discussion:
The Parks Operations Division received funding in Fiscal Year 2021-22 to purchase a new tractor with attachments. This tractor will complement the new aerator that was purchased last fiscal year, as it is designed for the aerator and will work more efficiently. Also, the attachments will complement work needed at Tumbleweed Park and can be used for many other projects.
Evaluation:
The State of Arizona competitively solicited and awarded a contract for Landscape & Utility Vehicles, Trailers & Equipment, which includes tractors. The City has a current Intergovernmental Agreement with the State of Arizona allowing for the cooperative use of State of Arizona contracts. The term of the State of Arizona contract is valid through May 8, 2022.
