Background/Discussion:
Planning and design of improvements for the Galveston Neighborhood are underway, including redevelopment of the Gazelle Meadows Park area with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and stormwater drainage improvements pursuant to Intergovernmental Agreement No. 2021A001 with the Flood Control District of Maricopa County. This project will provide for water and sewer improvements to be designed and constructed at the same time as drainage and park improvements.
The project scope of services consists of project administration, field survey, geotechnical investigation, construction document preparation, cost estimates, permitting assistance, and utility coordination. The contract completion time is 148 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. The planning and coordination of these improvements include ongoing public outreach to Galveston Neighborhood residents and other stakeholders.
Evaluation:
The selection process was conducted in accordance with City policy and procedure and State law. This project is being performed under the On-Call Consultant Pre-Qualified List for Civil Engineering Services. Staff recommends approval of this agreement with Entellus, Inc., based on qualifications, relevant firm experience, team experience, project understanding, and project approach.
