Move City Council Award Professional Services Agreement No. CA2202.201 to Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc., for the Wall Street Improvements
Design
Services, in an amount not to exceed $152,331.
Background/Discussion:
This project includes design services for improvements on Wall Street between Chicago Street and Frye Road in Downtown Chandler.
The improvements to Wall Street are aimed to enhance pedestrian and cyclist connectivity and safety. This is the final section of an important pedestrian pathway across Downtown Chandler, connecting Chandler Boulevard south to Frye Road. Above-ground utilities will be undergrounded with additional transformers planned to allow for future redevelopment.
The project scope of work consists of survey, development of plans and specifications, cost estimates, construction documents, utilities coordination, geotechnical investigation, landscape design, public outreach, and bidding assistance. The contract completion time is 150 calendar days following Notice to Proceed.
Evaluation:
The selection process was conducted in accordance with City policy and procedure and State law. This project is being performed as a Direct Selection for Civil Engineering Services. Staff recommends approval of this agreement with Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc., based on qualifications, relevant firm experience, team experience, project understanding, and project approach.
