Agreement No. PD3-200-4510, Amendment No. 3, with FX Tactical, LLC, and Skaggs Companies, Inc., for Police Uniforms

Proposed Motion:

Move City Council approve Agreement No. PD3-200-4510, Amendment No. 3, with FX Tactical, LLC, and Skaggs Companies, Inc., for police uniforms, in an amount not to exceed $350,000, for a one-year period, September 1, 2024, through August 31, 2025.

Background/Discussion:

This agreement covers the Police Department's annual uniform needs for all patrol staff, including reserves, motor officers, park rangers, cadets, motorist assist volunteers, detention officers, and civilians. It also includes uniform-related accessories such as baseball caps and Class A hats. The agreement ensures the availability of uniforms for replacements due to wear or damage, as well as alterations and other related needs.

Evaluation:

On August 12, 2022, City Council approved an agreement with FX Tactical, LLC, and Skaggs Companies, Inc., for police uniforms, with a one-year term and options for up to four one-year extensions. The contractors have agreed to extend the agreement for a second renewal period, covering the term of September 1, 2024, through August 31, 2025. This amendment reflects a 3% increase from Skaggs and a 0.5% increase from FX Tactical compared to the original 2022 agreement.
