| Proposed Motion: |
| Move City Council approve Agreement No. BF2-910-4417, Amendment No. 2, with Universal Building Maintenance, LLC, DBA Allied Universal Services, for janitorial services, in an amount not to exceed $548,720.28, for the period of one year, beginning June 15, 2024, through June 14, 2025. |
| Background/Discussion: |
| The Buildings and Facilities Division and the Public Works & Utilities Department contract janitorial services for various buildings within their respective areas. The work performed under the contract will include daily floor care, restroom cleaning, trash removal, dusting and miscellaneous cleaning duties as detailed in the contract specifications. Buildings and facilities to be cleaned under this contract include Municipal Utilities Administration, Water Distribution, Water Treatment Plant, Water Quality Laboratory, Water Systems Maintenance, Meter Services, Wastewater Collection, Ocotillo Brine Reduction Facility, Airport and Ocotillo Water Reclamation Facilities, Solid Waste Services, City Hall, Chandler Boys and Girls Club, Community Center, Main Library, Senior Center, Tumbleweed Recreation Center, Airport Terminal, and the Public Housing Authority Family Investment Center. |
| Evaluation: |
| On May 12, 2022, City Council approved an agreement with Allied Universal Janitorial Services, LLC, DBA Allied Universal Janitorial Services, for janitorial services, for a one-year period, with the option of up to four one-year extensions. The Contractor has agreed to extend for one additional year at the same terms and conditions. This contract represents the period from June 15, 2024, through June 14, 2025. |
