Call to Order

Mayor Daggett called the Special Meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

Recess into Executive Session

Moved by Vice Mayor Miranda Sweet, seconded by Councilmember David Spence to recess into Executive Session.

Vote: 7 - 0 - Unanimously

Council recessed into Executive Session at 9:05 a.m.

Executive Session Confidentiality Statement

Discussions made during Executive Session are confidential by law. All persons present in Executive Session or who receive Executive Session information or materials shall keep the discussion, information and materials confidential and shall not disclose them, except as allowed by law.

Executive Session:

Discussion or consultation for legal advice with the attorney or attorneys of the public body, pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3).

Legal advice regarding the proposed development by Capri Development LLC at 19 W. Birch Avenue and Capri Development’s appeal of the Heritage Preservation Commission’s denial of a Certificate of Economic Hardship for demolition of the existing building at 19 W. Birch Ave., including the process and standards for approval of certificates of economic hardship.

Reconvene Special Meeting

Mayor Daggett reconvened the Special Meeting at 10:01 a.m.
