MINUTES
The Transportation Infrastructure Mobility Committee of the City of Garland convened in regular session at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, in the Work Session Room, 200 North Fifth Street, Garland, Texas, with the following members:

Approve the September 20, 2022 Meeting Minutes
Motion to approve the September 20, 2022 Meeting Minutes was made by Council Member Jeff Bass; seconded by Council Member Robert Vera; motion passed.

Public Comment
Persons who wish to address the Committee on any item on the agenda are allowed three minutes to speak. Testimony may be held until the item is considered or given at the beginning of any TIM meeting. Invited testimony may also occur at any time, subject to a request of the member of the Committee and approval of the Chair.

Discuss requiring payment for use of Electric Charging Stations
Mitch Bates informed the Committee that the City currently has nine locations with 14 total charging stations.
The average costs of the program is $15,000 to $20,000 per year. If the Committee decides to move forward with implementing a program to charge users, the goal would be to break even.
The recommendation being made is that the City charge $.49 per kilowat to use the charging stations.
The Committee is recommending moving forward with implementing the program and briefing Council at the December 5, 2022 Regular Meeting.
