Discussion and possible action to adopt a Resolution of the Hays County Commissioners Court urgently calling upon the Texas Legislature to enact comprehensive regulatory reforms, strict water-use limitations, mandatory conservation measures, and enhanced state oversight of industrial high-water-use and high-energy-demand facilities, including data centers and other large-scale industrial operations, to prevent the depletion of regional aquifers, reduce strain on Texas’ electric grid, protect public health and safety, and preserve critical water and energy resources for current and future generations.
