Meeting was called to order at 5:09pm by Chairman Greg Brown.

CONTINUE DISCUSSION ON CONSERVATION PROGRAMS
Current Conservation Programs
Conservation Plan and Implementation
Water Resources staff provided a brief overview of the City's existing water conservation programs. The Committee members formed small groups to further discuss the status of the city's current conservation efforts. The Committee then held a discussion at large and shared their ideas on the future of water conservation in the city. Among the ideas shared were the increase in eduction and outreach, particularly in schools, as well as increased messaging throughout the City. The Committee will further engage in the creation of a conservation plan with recommendations that will support smart growth and efficiency in the city. The Committee will continue to work on this item in 2025.

Chairman Brown requested a vote on the proposal to cancel the meeting scheduled for December.

Outlook for 2025
Staff presented a brief summary of the topics discussed throughout the first year of the Committee (2024) and outlined the goals for the Committee in 2025. These include program and policy development, water and sewer rate study, monitoring of the status of the Colorado River and its implications for the city, and the development of recommendations for consideration by Council.

NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Citizens Water Advisory Committee is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2024, at Goodyear Public Works located at 4980 S 157th Ave. Goodyear, AZ 85338.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, Chairman Brown adjourned the meeting at 7:03 p.m.
