CALL TO ORDER
				Chair Kaino called the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting to order at 8:08 a.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Chair Laura Kaino; Vice Chair Jay Mathias; Boardmember Michael Gugel; Boardmember Patrick Doyle; Boardmember Teresa Kuleff Staff Present: Lesli Sorensen, Board Attorney; Viviana Monge, Board Secretary; Chanda Washington , Benefits Analyst; Jasmine Pernicano, Deputy City Clerk Attendees: Kathryn Baillie, Applicant Attorney
PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments.
BUSINESS
	1.			APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approve the October 24, 2024 Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting draft minutes.

				MOTION BY Boardmember Patrick Doyle, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias to APPROVE the draft minutes of the October 24,2024 Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting. The motion carried as follows:

				AYE: Chair Laura Kaino, Vice Chair Jay Mathias, Boardmember Michael Gugel, Boardmember Patrick Doyle, Boardmember Teresa Kuleff Passed - Unanimously
	2.			Review, consideration and possible action on the application and medical records for Disability - Kenneth Heng. (last heard October 24, 2024)
				Kathryn Baillie, Attorney for the Applicant, requested the Board review and accept her client's application. Board Attorney Lesli Sorensen clarified the difference between the prior application and the current one with the Board. Chair Kaino reviewed the application and answered the following questions as read by Ms. Sorensen. 1. Is the employee eligible for normal retirement employee?  No 2. Did the employee file the application after disabling incident, or within one year of ceasing to be an employee?  Yes 3. Did employment terminate by a reason of disability?  Yes 4. Did employee terminate based on a disciplinary issue?  No 5. In regard to the physical injury, is the employee still working a PSPRS covered position that the Local Board considers a reasonable range of duties position within the employee's department?  In regard to the mental condition, is the employee still working a position that the Local Board considers substantial gainful activity?  No 6. In regard to the physical injury, has the employee refused a PSPRS covered position that the Local Board considered a reasonable range of duties within the employee’s department?  In regard to the mental condition, has the employee refused a position that the Local Board determined will prevent the employee from engaging in any substantial gainful activity?  No 7. Did the injury or condition occur prior to the current PSPRS membership date?  No

				MOTION BY Boardmember Teresa Kuleff, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Jay Mathias to APPROVE the application for ordinary disability. The motion carried as follows:

				AYE: Chair Laura Kaino, Vice Chair Jay Mathias, Boardmember Michael Gugel, Boardmember Patrick Doyle, Boardmember Teresa Kuleff Passed - Unanimously
	3.			Review, discuss and take possible action on a request from the Fire Department hiring division to accept the forms from Heartfit and not require the Goodyear PSPRB Pre-Existing Condition form. The Board requested this item be moved to a future meeting. No action taken.
EXECUTIVE SESSION No Executive Session was held.
