CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kaino called the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approve the October 24, 2024 Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting draft minutes.

Vice Chair Jay Mathias to APPROVE the draft minutes of the October 24, 2024 Police Public Safety Retirement Board meeting. The Motion carried as follows:

Review and make findings regarding the reemployment of Public Safety Personnel Retirement System retiree Mary Ward under A.R.S. § 38-849.
MOTION BY
Vice Chair Jay Mathias,
SECONDED BY
Boardmember Teresa Kuluff after review of the information presented, FIND that Mary Ward satisfies the requirements of A.R.S. § 38-849(G) because she retired as a police lieutenant on May 13, 2022, returned to work as a police officer on November 4, 2024, which is more than 6 months from the date of retirement, and was not hired into the same position from which she retired; and after review of the job description, FIND that the alternate contribution rate is required because the position of police officer is ordinarily filled by a contributing PSPRS member. The motion carried as follows:

The Board reviewed and acknowledged the separations listed.
INFORMATION ITEMS
Chanda Washington, Benefits Analyst, requested direction regarding evaluation forms used for assessments. Chair Kaino suggested holding a joint meeting to ensure consistency between the Fire and Police departments.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board is tentatively scheduled for January 23, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, Chair Kaino adjourned the meeting at 8:06 a.m.
