APPROVAL OF THE 2026 PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION CALENDAR

SUMMARY:

Approval of the 2026 Planning and Zoning Commission Calendar establishes the meeting schedule for the upcoming year. The calendar serves as a planning tool to ensure timely decision-making and promote coordination among the Planning and Zoning Commission, City Council staff and the community.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the 2026 Planning and Zoning Commission Calendar.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact from this item. The approval of the 2026 Planning and Zoning Commission Calendar is an administrative action that does not incur any additional costs.

BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS:

A City Council meeting calendar is presented and approved by the City Council no later than November 1 of each year for the upcoming calendar year. The Planning and Zoning Commission Calendar is then set to coincide with upcoming Council dates to follow Planning and Zoning Commission meetings.

STAFF ANALYSIS

The Planning and Zoning Commission Calendar outlines all anticipated Planning and Zoning Commission meeting dates for the upcoming calendar year. Also shown are dates for City Council Regular Meetings, Work Sessions and Special Meetings that may be added or canceled throughout the year to accommodate the business of the city.
