A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Submit An Application For Federal Infrastructure Investment And Jobs Act (IIJA) Funds Through The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) For The Chambersburg Road/City Of Dayton Paved Bike Path Trail.
(first reading)
Purpose and Background
The attached legislation will authorize an application for a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) grant through the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) using Federal Fast Act Funds. This bike path will be a continuation of the bike path that will be built next year on Chambersburg Road West. This bike path will start on Chambersburg Road at Endicott Road and will then enter the City of Dayton and run south through the Warrior Soccer Club property to Fishburg Road and then continue west and across Rip Rap Road, ultimately connecting to the Great Miami River Trail. The total project cost is estimated at $1,046,760 and the application is requesting $500,000 in federal funds (43.4% of the project cost).
