An Ordinance To Approve An Economic Development Plan For The Creekside Woods Development Project And To State That The City May Hereafter Proceed With The Creation Of Tax Increment Financing Incentive Districts.

Purpose and Background

The purpose of this Economic Development Plan is to satisfy the requirements of Section 5709.40(A)(5)(f) of the Ohio Revised Code, which requires that an Economic Development Plan evidence that the public infrastructure serving the proposed residential tax increment financing incentive districts is inadequate to meet the development needs of the district. This Economic Development Plan has been developed to continue the efficient and effective development of the City of Huber Heights, Ohio.

This Economic Development Plan relates to the proposed development of a 159 townhome-style residential development within the City on approximately 26 acres, known as Creekside Woods. The proposed development is located west of Charlesgate Road and east of Wildcat Road. The City has determined that the construction of this project would be beneficial to the City by increasing housing opportunities for current and future residents while enhancing the quality of life for the general public.
