Resolution - Public Works:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Contract 16741, with Municipal Valve & Equipment, for the purchases of large distribution system valves for isolation of Pump Station 4.
Item Summary
The purpose of the Pump Station 4 Large Valve Project is to install new valves in order for the pump station to be shut down ahead of the Bailey County Line Improvements and Pump Station 4 Improvements Projects. This project is for purchase only of the valves.

The contract is awarded by the unit price. The total amount of the award is estimated based on expected quantities and actual expenditures may be more or less depending on actual quantities. The price per unit will not change.
The time for total delivery of all valves is 140 consecutive calendar days.
The pre-purchase of valves ahead of the construction contract will allow for better control of the project timelines, removing equipment delays from the project.
The Staff and Evaluation Committee recommend award of the unit price contract to the highest ranked proposal, Municipal Valve & Equipment, Inc. of Addison, Texas for $233,203.40.
