Resolution - Fleet Services:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Purchase Order 31071215, with GTS Technology Solutions, Inc., for the purchase of twenty video recording systems for the Lubbock Police Department patrol vehicles.
Item Summary
This Purchase Order is for 20 Panasonic I-Pro (VPU4000) Video Recording Systems. These units will provide mobile video evidence capture for LPD Patrol Vehicles. Fifteen units will be installed in new LPD Patrol Vehicles purchased on the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Vehicle Replacement Schedule, and five units will be installed in existing LPD Patrol Vehicles.
The twenty units, valued at $108,286.80, will be acquired from GTS Technology Solutions of Austin, Texas.
This purchase is made available through the State of Texas Department of Information Resource (DIR) Contract DIR-CPO-4697. Texas Local Government Code Chapter 271.083 authorizes local governments to acquire hardware, software, and other Information Technology purchases through the DIR program. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Chapter 791.025, purchases from DIR contracts meet competitive bid requirements.
Fiscal Impact
Purchase Order No. 31071215 for $108,286.80, is funded in Capital Improvement Project 92722, the General Fund Vehicle Replacement FY 2021-2022 America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
