Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Purchase Order 31069158, with Kann Manufacturing, for the purchase of nine Commercial Side-Loader Trash Truck Bodies, for the Solid Waste Residential Collection Department.
Item Summary
This purchase order is for nine (9) Commercial Side-Loader Trash Truck Bodies from Kann Manfucaturing Corporation of Guttenberg, Iowa. These nine bodies will be installed on nine Cab & Chassis purchased separately by the City for the Solid Waste Department. Each Commercial Side Loader Body has a unit cost of $133,506.00 and the total cost for nine units will be $1,201,544.00.
This purchase is made through BuyBoard Contract 599-19. BuyBoard is a cooperative purchasing program that manages the solicitation requirements and offers an established network of awarded contracts that have been competitively bid. Cooperative purchasing authorized in Chapter 271 of the Local Government Code, allows a local government to participate in a cooperative purchasing program, and BuyBoard purchases conform to the requirements of Texas competitive bid statutes.
Fiscal Impact
This purchase, for $1,201,554.00, is funded in Capital Improvement Project 92787, General Fund Vehicle Replacement FY 2022-2023.
