Resolution - Right-of-Way:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, five Street and/or Alley Use Licenses, and related documents, by and between the City of Lubbock and Texland Petroleum L.P.
Item Summary
The five (5) Street and/or Alley Use Licenses were issued to Texland Petroleum, L.P., in 2002, to use a portion of dedicated streets and/or alleys to construct and maintain a system of oil production pipelines. These licenses expired in 2022, and Texland Petroleum, L.P. desires to renew all 5 licenses.
The term of each license is for twenty (20) years, payable every five (5) years in advance, and each successive 5-year term not to exceed 20 years, unless either party shall give written notice of termination to the other party. The license fee for each 5-year term is based on property land values, and a total of $17,275.25 paid in advance for all 5 licenses, pursuant to current City policy.
