Resolution - Information Technology:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Purchase Order 33001684, with Software One, Inc., for the Microsoft License Enterprise Agreement, for software licenses utilized by the City of Lubbock.
Item Summary
The Microsoft Volume License Enterprise Agreement is a 3-year agreement that requires a true-up at the end of each year for additional licenses that may have been added during the year.
The agreement for the first year, November 1, 2022, through October 31, 2023, is in the amount of $683,362.68. The software licenses are utilized by the City of Lubbock employees and include, Azure, Office M365, Power Automate, Power BI, Project Pro, SQL Server Standard and Enterprise, Teams AC, Visio Plan, Visual Studio, Windows Server Data Center Core, and Windows Server Standard Core.
The purchase is made available through the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Contract Number DIR-TSO-4061. Texas Local Government Code Chapter 271.083, which authorizes local governments to acquire hardware, software, and other information technology products through the DIR program. Pursuant to the Texas Government Code Chapter 91.025, The purchases from DIR contracts meet competitive bid requirements.
Fiscal Impact
The Microsoft Volume Licensing Enterprise Agreement is a 3-year agreement in the amount of $683,362.68 each year, and is funded in the FY 2022-23 Information Technology Operating Budget (Software Maintenance), and in the budget in the following two years. Total expected cost of the 3-year agreement is $2,050,088.04.
