Item Summary

For Fiscal Year 2022-23, the Water Distribution & Maintenance Department was approved to replace a 2013 dump truck that has exceeded its useful life and is in need of costly repairs.   In response to ITB 23-16913-DH, the following bid was received and opened on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.   Line Item 1: One (1) Diesel Tandem Axle Cab & Chassis: Vendor Vehicle/Equipment Total Cost Bruckner Truck & Equipment Sales, Inc., San Antonio, Texas 2024 Volvo VHD64F300 Cab & Chassis Truck $139,030  Line Item 2: One (1) 12 Cubic Yard Dump Body: Vendor Vehicle/Equipment Total Cost Bruckner Truck & Equipment Sales, Inc., San Antonio, Texas Davis 12 Cubic Yard Munibody Dump Body $31,500 The total cost for the complete unit (Cab & Chassis and the Truck & Dump Body) is $170,530.   Fleet Staff recommends award to the sole bidder, Bruckner Truck & Equipment of San Antonio, Texas, for $170,530.

Fiscal Impact

Purchase Order 31070477 for $170,530 is funded in Capital Improvement Project 92781, the Water/Wastewater Vehicle Replacement Fund for FY 2022-23.
