Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Municipal Services Agreement, with JDR Family, LP, for the requested annexation of an area of land generally described as 76.15 acres north of Erskine Street and west of North Milwaukee Avenue, into Lubbock's corporate limits, along with the adjacent right-of-way.
Item Summary
JDR Family, LP, is the owner of the tract of land containing approximately 76.15 acres north of Erskine Street west of North Milwaukee Avenue, located in the east half of Section 8, Block JS, in Lubbock County. The owner is requesting consideration of voluntary annexation of the land into the City limits.
The first step in the voluntary annexation process is to establish a service plan to which both the City and the property owner agree. The proposed annexation agreement sets forth the plan for services between the City of Lubbock and JDR Family, LP. If the agreement is approved by the City Council, staff will schedule a public hearing to consider annexation of the property.
