Resolution - Public Health Services:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute six Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and all related documents, by and between the City of Lubbock Health Department - Prevention Resource Center, Region 1, and Cenikor Foundation, Dailey Recovery Service, Family Support Services of Amarillo, Hub City Outreach Center, Lamb County LEAF - Hooked on Hope, and YWCA, to further substance use prevention efforts.
Item Summary
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the City of Lubbock Health Department to have written agreements with partners of the Substance Use Service Assistance Network to increase linkage and retention in substance use, mental health, and medical services,or residents living with substance use disorders. Service agreements encourage participants to collaboratively work together to meet the specific needs of the priority population, including serving as an essential link between prevention, intervention and treatment services, information, and resources within Region 1. These agreements meet the requirements and outline the obligations of the City of Lubbock Health Department and partnering agencies.
