The purpose of this project is to build a new sewer main that will capture flow from high density developments with higher flows of wastewater in the downtown area. Additionally, this project will identify new repairs or replacements needed for the existing sewer lines carrying sewer flows to the South East Reclamation Plant through the Canyon Lakes area. In response to RFP-23-17076-TF, proposals were received from 4 contractors on February 15, 2023, with the following bid amounts.

Staff and the evaluation committee recommend award of the unit price contract to the highest ranked proposal, Utility Contractor of America, Inc. of Lubbock, Texas, for $10,795,684. Time for substantial completion is 480 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The contract is awarded by the unit price and actual expenditures may be more or less depending on field conditions. |
