Consider Ordinance No. 2022-O0049, abandoning and closing a portion of an alley right-of-way, located in Section 41, Block AK, and between Lots 16-21, Jetland Terrace Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
Item Summary
On April 12, 2022, the City Council approved the first reading of the ordinance.
The City of Lubbock is in receipt of a request to abandon and close a 20-foot wide, 360-foot long alley located between lots 16-21, Jetland Terrace Addition, in Section 41, Block AK, near the southeast corner of the 19th Street and Inler Avenue (FM 179) intersection. Using Lubbock Central Appraisal District values, the Right-of-Way Department valued the land at $1.06 per square foot, for a total of revenue of $7,627.71.
All City departments and franchise utility companies are in agreement with the closure.
