Resolution - Lubbock Power & Light:
Consider a resolution approving and accepting the Permanent Right of Access and Use from Texas Tech University, consisting of approximately 48,311 square feet, located in Section 22, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, being situated in that tract of land conveyed to the State of Texas, described in a deed recorded in Volume 81, Page 345 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, and as more fully described as Easement #2 in Exhibit A attached to the Permanent Right of Access and Use, and authorizing the Mayor of the City of Lubbock to execute same.
Item Summary
The Red Raider Substation was commissioned to alleviate the distribution load of neighboring substations and to provide additional capacity for the load on the Texas Tech University (TTU) System property. The two (2) circuits exiting north and south from the substation are intended to serve the load beyond TTU System property and therefore requires twelve (12) foot wide dedicated to right of access.
Fiscal Impact
The costs associated with this permanent right of access and use is $27,537 and is funded in account 92608 (Red Raider Substation Distribution Feeders).
