Resolution - Water Utilities:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Change Order No. 1 to Contract 15565, and all related documents, with Master Meter Inc., for Automated Metering Infrastructure.
Item Summary
On November 17, 2020, the City Council awarded Contract 15565, to Master Meter, Inc., in the amount of $627,471.21, for new meters. These water meters will be used to install at new developments and replace meters that have reached their expected lifespan or have become defective.
Change Order No. 1 for $86,542.65, increases the original contract amount with Master Meter, Inc. to $758,995.86. This increase allows the City of Lubbock to continue utilizing the current unit prices in the original contract. The change order also takes into account volume increases associated with new meter sets in new developments.
Fiscal Impact
Change Order No. 1 to Contract 15565, for $86,524.65, is funded in Capital Improvement Project 92748 New Water Meter Sets and Meter Replacements.
